Summer Games 2026

Join the Otter FC for a week of friendly competition and good times!Partake in a variety of challenges and prove you've got the brains, brawn, and skill to be the Game Champion! Participating Otters will receive special kudos and prizes for joining in the fun, so don't be shy!Nearly every game can be joined by players of any progression and skill level, with very few exceptions. Whether you've played Final Fantasy XIV for 1 year or 10, you're welcome to join the fun!

The Summer Games consists of solo and team based challenges, varying from scavenger hunts to trivia to glamour contests and more. All are welcome to join for the fun!

Earn Points

Each game grants points for all participants. Winning a game will earn you more points. The Otter with the most points at the end wins the grand prize!

Prizes are available to all, even if you don't win a game! The better you do, the better the prizes, but all are encouraged to do their best!

Day One

July 20th, 7PM EDT/4PM PDT

Day One is the Opening Ceremony!Watch the Officers light the Great Summer Games Flame to mark the start of this year's Summer Games!

Day Two

July 21st, 7PM EDT/4PM PDT

Day Two is a day of games to prove yourself worthy! From precision strikes in human darts to socializing with randoms for a screenshot, bring your A-Game for the first official day of games!

Human Darts

Players gather in a designated location for a game of precision. One person falls from a tower and all players must try to land as close to the target player as possible. Closest player wins! (Expect multiple rounds!)

Screenshot with a
random

Players are tasked with finding a random player in the designated major city to take a screenshot with. The randomly chosen player must pose at a designated location in order to count as a successful screenshot. Best and fastest screenshots win!

Market Scavenger Hunt

Players are given a list of vague descriptions for items that can be found from local vendors. Use of the market board is prohibited. The first player to bring back all items, and are approved by the host, wins!

5k gil glamour contest

All players are given a budget of 5000 gil to create a glamour. All items must be purchased for the event, no Glamour Chest or Armory chest trade-ins. Use of the Market Board is permitted, dyes are included in the 5000 gil cost. Crafted gear from bought materials is also allowed. Best and cheapest glamours win!

Day Three

July 22nd, 7PM EDT/4PM PDT

Day Three is a battle of the minds! Try to keep your clothes in a battle of the cards and face the perilous challenge that is Shina's Trivia!

Striple Triad

Players will compete in a battle of Triple Triad, with a twist! All players will compete using Double Roulette rules. If you lose a duel, remove one piece of left side gear. The player with one article of clothing remaining will be deemed the Champion!

Trivia

Players will compete in a test of the minds against the ruthless Shina. Questions will focus on all things FFXIV including Lore, terminology, and more!

Day Four

July 23rd, 7PM EDT/4PM PDT

Day Four is the Great Eorzean Race! Travel across the lands, complete tasks, and be the first to make it to the end! Then face your fellow Otters in a different kind of race within a Jump Puzzle house!

The Great Eorzean Race

Think you know what the lands of Hydaelyn have to offer? Put your mind and will to the test in the Great Eorzean Race! Travel across locales, complete challenges at checkpoints to continue your journey, and be the first to make it to the end!

Jump Puzzles

Journey with the FC to a player-made collection of Housing Jump Puzzles! Compete to be the first to the top in a new series of jumping adventures!

Day Five

July 24th, 7PM EDT/4PM PDT

Day Five is a day of pure competition! Seek out hiding FC members, guess the Market Board prices on popular items, and race through high level zones without dying!

Hide & Seek

Players will be sent out into the FC's housing district to locate the hidden players. The first player to locate the hider will be chosen as the next hiding player for the subsequent round. Expect multiple rounds!

Price is Right

Guess how much random items are selling for on the market! Players will form teams and work together to guess the value of the items presented. Earn points by being the closest to the true value, where the team with the most points wins!

Level One Race

Players will pair off into a party consisting of a level 1 class and a level 100 healer or caster (raise required). All pairs will race through designated, open-world zones where one hit means death for the level one player. Casters must hard-cast raise and revive their partner before continuing. First pair to make it to the end wins!
